NC State Guard Casey Morsell Will Go Through The NBA Draft Process

IPS Ambassador Casey Morsell just finished up taping his final Catchin' Up With Casey Podcast which we'll have up shortly, but he did share some insight on where he's at with his final year of eligibility.

Morsell indicated that his plan is to go through the NBA Draft process and receive feedback from teams before making a final decision.

"As of right now, my plans are to test the waters and get feedback on what I need to improve on,” Morsell stated.  “That's the first focus, seeing where that goes... [going through the draft process] is what I'm going to do, and then from that point on, depending on how that process works, and then the college decision would be the focus.

“A decision will be made, but I love Raleigh, I love everything about it, and I love what we're building.  We're heading in the right direction.  It's tough to call right now in terms of the roster because guys are leaving and you don't know what's coming in, but I love what we're building. You just have to see, you have to be smart, and at the end of the day my goal is to get to that next level."

Morsell just completed his best season, averaging 11.8 points and 4.4 rebounds while shooting 46.7% from the field and 41.1% from three-point range. 

“Personally for me it’s either one or the other,” Morsell added.  “It’s either me probably going pro or coming back... I’m not really into the portal... things could change, but that’s where I’m at.”
