Several Wolfpack players met with the media after the 81-69 win over Robert Morris.
Forward Lennard Freeman
On halftime adjustments to stop Robert Morris’ three point shooting...
“We just played harder and communicated better. At first, we weren’t really talking to each other, and Coach Keatts got on us about that. He got on us because we didn’t do that against UNCG. He said, ‘When are we going to learn to communicate with each other?’ In the second half, Coach Keatts had really good game plan, but if we didn’t communicate with each other, then we won’t win. We’ve just got to communicate with each other and we will be fine.”

On the offensive game plan...
“We definitely went inside more, and as bigs, we took care of the ball, which definitely worked out for us.”
On getting the start...
“It was definitely a big deal, but at the same time, I earned that starting spot. Coach trusted me, and I appreciate that.”
On getting past early struggles...
“The thing is that they made so many threes that we thought that if we just took that away from them, which we did, it would make things easier for us. In the second half, they missed a lot of threes, and we made them miss a lot of threes. I felt like that was huge factor in the comeback that led to us getting the win.”

On what decisions were made in the second half to get them back in the game...
“Really no decisions. We just had to play a little harder and bring the intensity that we didn’t have in the first half.”
On three players having double-doubles...
“We have (a) tremendous ability for that on our team. Everyone on our team is capable of stepping up on our team and playing to the best of their ability.”
On Lavar Batts Jr....
“He brought the level of intensity that we needed, brought some energy, played great defense, made free throws. I was really proud of him today.”
