Who Did He Pick NC State Over? Michigan State, East Carolina, and Wake Forest among others
IPS Take On Devin Carter: One of the most underrated players in NC State's class, Devin Carter profiles as a potential difference maker at wide receiver.
Checking in at 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds with 4.5 speed, Carter is a nightmare for defensive backs to deal with. He has the size to be a major weapon in the redzone, as he showed in the Shrine Bowl, but the athleticism to run virtually every route required.
NC State is loaded at wide receiver so a redshirt year is likely in the cards for Carter, but after a year in the strength and conditioning program will put him in a position to be a major, major contributor.
There aren't a lot of wideouts entering college with Carter's combination of size and athleticism, and he will be able to play any of the wide receiver positions within the Wolfpack's offensive system.
