“They came in here and in simple terms, kicked our butts.”

“They took us out of anything we wanted to do offensively.”

“We weren’t able to get any good looks and ended up settling for a lot of jumpshots.”

“24-12 on fastbreak points... I thought in the fourth quarter we put them on the foul line too much.”

“They shot 64% from three.  Give them credit. They knocked down shots.  Rough night, especially here at home. We have to look in the mirror and try to figure it out.”

“Aziaha is somebody that can make plays, she can hit some shots... she’s a playmaker. We were hoping maybe she could ignite us a little bit and hit a couple of shots, get us going.”

“No doubt, she’s our leading scorer, our best assist-to-turnover person, but we had our chances.  Duke came in here and took it. They were the team who wanted it and where ready to play.”

“They did a really good job getting in between the pick and the ball.”

“In this league, every game is going to be a battle but at home you have to try and protect that homecourt.”

“They had a couple of people who hadn’t shot it great and did tonight, but again, they are people capable of hitting them and they hit them. We had a chance to guard them. It wasn’t like we were playing horse. We had a chance to guard them. We have to do a better job.”

“Second quarter I probably should have called a timeout or two because they took it to us.  I’m not sure why we’re so inconsistent.  We’ve done that all year, given up points in a quarter at a high pace and then been able to shut them down the other three quarters. Tonight we couldn’t do that.”

“We talk all the time about allowing people to miss shots. Tonight we didn’t allow them. We fouled them.”

“You wanted to be able to get downhill some out of the press break, make somebody help so you can kick, but we didn’t really do a good job of that either.  A couple of times when we did draw the help we didn’t kick it, we forced the shot.”

“Right now I just told them all the things I told ya’ll and we have to fix them.  We next go to Syracuse and they are 9-0 at home.  It doesn’t get any easier... we’re going to see everybody’s A game so we have to step up.”

“That includes the coach.  We shoot 34% from the field and turn the ball over like that, I have to see if there is anything I can do to help them.”
