NC State's Torin Dorn and Sam Hunt met with the media to discuss Saturday's game against UNC Greensboro.

How has the previous week, without games, been?
It has been good. We have been trying to shore up our defense and get better in all aspects. With exams, you have to focus on exams and finish out strong but we also work on getting better.
Can you get better once exams are over?
I think you can get a lot better because you don’t have to focus on school. All you focus on is basketball, your body and getting healthy so it is definitely good for us.
There is a lot of extra time you can put into the gym.
What does NC State need to improve before ACC play starts?
I just think we need to work on our defensive intensity and just being focused on scouting reports and all the little things we need to shore up, boxing out, rebounding, getting out on breaks and just tightening up everything.
Have you paid any attention to the other ACC schools?
Actually I haven’t. I have not been watching too much. I have been focused on us.
Are you trying to continue the nice rebounding run you have been on lately?
Definitely, Definitely. That is something that I have been focused on these past couple of game, rebounding.

What do know about UNCG?
I know a lot about Greensboro. I grew up watching them play. I know the coaching staff and a lot of their players. My godbrother, it was crazy, he played for the basketball team last year -- Deonte Baldwin -- so I know a lot of their team. In the summer I actually work out there. It is going to be fun playing against those guys.
Did you ever think about going there instead of NC State?
No, I think I made the right decision but like I said they have got a great coaching staff, great players, a great system there. I have known them for my last four years. They recruited me out of high school and Coach Wes Miller has done a great job since taking over.
What kind of challenge does UNCG present?
Like I said, they have got pretty good shooters. I think they return 11 or 12 players from last year’s team, which won the conference championship.They press. They play up-tempo and they can shoot the ball really well so we have just got to defend the three, get back in transition and rebound the ball.
How close did you come to attending UNCG?
It was crazy. A funny story. It came down between me and my godbrother as to whoever committed first. My godbrother committed first so he got the scholarship. They are a gre3at team. They are a great staff. They worked me out on the summer, the whole coaching staff, so it was crazy coming out of high school. I actually considered going there.
Does a team like UNCG get pumped up to play an ACC team?
Hopefully they take every game the same. They come out and compete but they probably do. It is an ACC game. I remember when I was at A&T we would play ACC schools or big five conference schools, it was time to showcase your talents so I know those guys will come out ready to compete and play.
They are a real good program. They won a conference championship last year so they know how to win.
