Richardson, Chubb Named PFF Second-Team All-Americans

NC State redshirt junior offensive tackle Will Richardson and senior defensive end Bradley Chubb have been named second-team All-Americans by Pro Football Focus.  The teams are selected strictly on film and game grades.

Here is PFF's release on both teams: LINK.

Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson, NC State lineman Will Richardson, and Virginia Tech guard Wyatt Teller were the only ACC offensive players to make either of the two teams.  All three were second-team selections.

A first-team All-ACC selection by PFF, Richardson posted the second-highest grade among ACC offensive players (behind Jackson).  He was named second-team All-ACC by the media.

NC State senior defensive end Bradley Chubb, arguably the nation's top defensive player, graded out as a second-team All-American by Pro Football Focus.

Chubb was tabbed a first-team All-ACC pick by PFF and the media.

what you are missing is the PFF folks are clearly *NC homers.

PFF is probably the most unbiased grading system there is. I would lean towards that than some subjective criteria like sportswriters that haven't seen everyone play but rather go on hype.

BS on Chubb 2nd team every NFL draft forecast I have seen has him the Best Defensive player overall and some even have him as the best player overall in the Draft. He should have been consensus 1st team. I watched a lot of CFB this year and i did not see a better more consistent DE in the country.
