NOTES: Eastern Alamance (NC) lineman Gabe Gonzalez committed to NC State over the summer with offers on the table from North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Michigan State, and Virginia among others.
The 6-foot-5, 280-pounder made multiple visits to Raleigh before picking the Wolfpack, and NC State offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford was thrilled to receive the news.

Gonzalez should fit right in with the Wolfpack's Band of Brothers.
On film, he's extremely aggressive... he plays with a nasty demeanor and edge you love to see from linemen. His leverage and pad level is good, and Gonzalez plays to the whistle, often working his way to the second-level. Gonzalez seems to have one goal in mind: put his defender, or defenders, on the ground.
A Shrine Bowl selection, he'll have a chance to show his ability this week against several top defensive linemen.
