Real Madrid wins its preseason friendly, 1-0, against Deportivo La Coruna in Gijon, Spain on Wednesday.

Brahim Diaz scores the goal for Los Blancos.

The preseason record is now 2-0-1 for Real Madrid. A draw against Fiorentina in Florence, Italy was followed by a road victory over Ferencvarosi in Budapest. Los Merengues have one final friendly before the regular season begins. They will take the pitch against Schalke at Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

Jose Mourinho will officially begin his second stint as manager of Real Madrid on Saturday, August 22nd at in a la Liga matchup at Espanyol, which is located just outside of Barcelona.

Mourinho had a documentary about him released Tuesday on Netflix, which details his first stint in Spain along with his other coaching stops. The interesting aspect of the documentary is that many wounds had seemed to have been healed but it appears that old disputes are rehashed. It is actually the opposite of most documentaries in that way.

I will try to post my Real Madrid thoughts here. This can also be a la Liga forum for those interested in Spanish soccer.
