Sophie Abrams, a senior at NC State, was named the recipient of the Elite 90 Award for the 2024 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championship.

Abrams was surprised with the honor after finishing her practice ahead of playing in the NCAA Doubles Championships in Stillwater, Okla. At the beginning of May, Abrams earned her degree in biological sciences and finished her undergraduate career with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Along with her success in the classroom, Abrams wraps up her Wolfpack career among the program's best. Ahead of the 2024 spring dual match season, Abrams set the program record for most fall wins in program history. The Germantown, Tennessee native is among the top 10 in program history in career singles and career doubles wins.
