No. 18 NC State gymnastics won a pair of weekly awards on Monday as the ACC announced that Emily Shepard is the Week Ten ACC Gymnast of the Week and freshman Katie Harper is the ACC Newcomer of the Week.

Shepard has now won an unparalleled seven-straight Gymnast of the Week Awards, while Harper had claimed back-to-back Newcomer of the Week titles.

Both of NC State's honorees had strong showings in the Pack's two-meet week, highlighted by Shepard tabbing the second-highest all-around total in program history on her senior day. Shepard's four-event score of 39.600 on Mar. 10 only ranks behind the 39.750 she posted earlier this season on Feb. 17, and ranks fifth all-time amongst gymnasts from ACC schools. The fifth-year senior's all-around effort pushed NC State to its second-highest score of the season and the program's third-highest all-time at 197.375, with the Wolfpack taking a quad-meet victory over No. 22 Penn State, Penn and Texas Woman's.

Shepard split the bars and beam crown on Sunday afternoon, firing a 9.925 on each event to tab the 53rd and 54th score of 9.9+ in her career at NC State, a program record. Shepard's beam total matched teammate Alexis Ortega for first place, as the pair of fifth years helped push the Pack to its best beam score of the 2024 season.

Shepard additionally recorded a pair of 9.875 marks on vault and floor, boosting her all-around to the second-best total of her collegiate career.

Shepard tacked two more 9.9+ totals earlier in the week as the Pack squared off with Temple, Maryland and Penn at the Owls McGonigle Hall on Thursday, Mar. 7. Shepard registered a pair of podium finishes in the opening leg of NC State's double-meet week, with a 9.925 on beam landing her in a tie for second place and a 9.900 on floor enough to split a first-place finish.

As for Harper, the freshman tabbed three scores of 9.9+ in just four routines throughout the week, now having compiled ten podium finishes and five marks of 9.9+ in her inaugural campaign in red and white.

Harper finished in third place on bars at Thursday's quad meet at Temple, recording a 9.900 and split Sunday's bars crown with Shepard and Texas Woman's Brooke Ferrari at 9.925. The freshman has now fired a 9.900+ on bars in four of the Wolfpack's last five meets, additionally tabbing a career-high 9.900 on beam on Sunday afternoon to help contribute to NC State's new season-high beam total.

Harper's beam routine at Temple was awarded a 9.875, with the Pack's 49.425 on beam serving as the highest score in the event this season to that point.

Shepard and Harper return to action in NC State's final meet of the regular season on Friday, Mar. 15, as the Pack travels to Gainesville, Fla. for a quad meet at fourth-ranked Florida with Iowa State and LIU. The first rotation between the Wolfpack, Gators, Cyclones and Sharks is slated for 6:45 p.m., with a stream available on the SEC Network + through the WatchESPN app.
