How long do you want to ignore this user?
Looking to book a spring break trip to the keys for my family (wife, two teenage boys, and myself). Never been to the Keys and looking for any advice on where to stay. We love time on the beach and would prefer something oceanfront if possible. Also looking for fishing trip if any info available on that. Thanks in advance.

I stayed at a rustic resort on Long Key (halfway down the overseas highway). If you're driving, the views up and down the Overseas highway beyond Key Largo will blow your mind. However, the Keys are NOT known for beaches and the few that exist are artificially created, one of them being at the bottom of the chain in Key West. Heading southwest a few miles from Long Key towards Key West is an open-air sports bar-type restaurant called The Wreck which is a great place to be during March Madness and they serve a great Fried Grouper sandwich and authentic Key Lime pie.
