I didn't know who this guy was, and just looked him up. I didn't realize that Marvel and the comic industry has such a jewish influence.

Stanley Martin Lieber was born on December 28, 1922, in Manhattan, New York City,[5] in the apartment of his Romanian-born Jewish immigrant parents, Celia (ne Solomon) and Jack Lieber, at the corner of West 98th Street and West End Avenue in Manhattan.

Early career

With the help of his uncle Robbie Solomon,[17] Lee became an assistant in 1939 at the new Timely Comics division of pulp magazine and comic-book publisher Martin Goodman's company. Timely, by the 1960s, would evolve into Marvel Comics. Lee, whose cousin Jean[18] was Goodman's wife, was formally hired by Timely editor Joe Simon.[n 1]

Martin Goodman (wikipedia)

Martin Goodman (born Moe Goodman;[1] January 18, 1908 June 6, 1992)[1][2] was an Americanpublisher of pulp magazines, paperback books, men's adventure magazines, and comic books, launching the company that would become Marvel Comics.

Moe Goodman, who would later adopt the name Martin, was the oldest son of 13 recorded children of Isaac Goodman (b. 1872) and Anna Gleichenhaus (b. 1875). His parents were Jewish immigrants who had met in the United States after separately moving from their native Vilna, Lithuania, then part of the Russian Empire.[1] The family lived at different homes in the New York City borough of Brooklyn.[3] As a young man, Moe traveled around the country during the Great Depression, living in hobo camps.[4][5]
