I met Bo when he came by my house out of the blue. He had a team going door to door campaigning the whole neighborhood. I asked about his time at State and he said he hurt his shoulder and eventually had shoulder replacement. He knew his body wouldn't hold up. Anyway, we talked for around 10 minutes and afterwards I told my good friend and fellow State fan about it. I told him I didn't like Bo. Just from a short conversation I didn't get good vibes. I'm also a straight ticket Republican.

Not true. First off Ivy league schools do not offer scholarships. I know a guy that went to an Ivy League school and played football in the 90s. Before he was 30 he was a multimillionaire, he worked for a hedge fund.

Always rubs me the wrong way when someone comes straight from college and tries for public office. Bo has always come off to me as a grifter in the political space

Clearly he was a gifted athlete and clearly he realized early that athletics was not going to be his choice as to the road to where he wanted to go. Sounds like he had his life plan thoroughly mapped out early. That's not all that common for someone his age. So he made a mint early in life, so did Bill Gates around the same age. These are observations, of course, I'm merely musing out loud, and I'm not motivated to seriously defend him. I doubt I'd like him either, as he does come across as "slick".
