i f***ing hate it. i miss the day of just flipping the d*** tv on and hitting at most 2 buttons and boom you are at your channel.

I cancelled TV about 6 weeks ago. Don't miss it one bit. 99.5% of the shows now are garbage, and getting worse every year. Was hardly using it, and only really watched A&E for "The First 48", NC State sports, and the Tennis Channel. There are FAR FAR more interesting things to watch just on "free" YouTube, and infinite more options.

Only thing I really want to watch that's on TV is NC State sports, and the Tennis Channel. But don't even need it. There are always live streams on YouTube of the games…not on the "YouTube TV" subscription, but just on "free" YouTube, with people illegally streaming games. I've watched almost every Wolfpack football game on such streams this fall. And the sports events I can't watch live on YouTube, are almost always uploaded to YouTube later, such as those by cylonwolf.

I don't mind YTTV, when I cut cable I wasn't sure if I'd like it, so far I'm enjoying. The problem that I had with cable was one the cost and two, I had way too many channels that I never watched.

Ive gotten used to it at this point. Yes, cable was easier, but I dont miss the bill. I will say having fiber installed helped massively with any sort of delay

I've had YTTV for years. I felt the same way in the beginning. Missed being able to quickly flash back to 2-3 channels. I'm used to it now. I also don't watch tv as much, and not nearly as much sports where I was constantly going game to game. Now, I really don't watch live tv except to watch State sports, Braves, and Rays. Everything else is recorded or one of the streaming networks.

We pay far too much for Hulu and Netflix, but I do think we finally canceled Disney+ at least. If not for sports I'd be totally fine to cut it all off and just buy the series I like and watch them that way as it's a RARE occasion I'll be sitting in front of the TV just channel surfing, much rather browse YouTube for entertainment these days.

the amount of subscriptions we have is ridiculous. I have YTTV but i have to pay extra to get the history shows plus Netflix, apple, hulu, amazon, etc.... i will say that the zen commercials on YTTV are better than any commercial i saw with Directv.

I do pay for YT Premium for my family, got that for them as a Christmas present one year as part of a family plan and that may be the best present I've ever given them. LOL YT with no commercials AND YT Music which is solid and ended our Sirius/XM subscriptions as well.

ok so this is what set me off last night....

I was too angry to explain.

I turn on the tv. It says Im logged off. I attempt to login. It tells me to update my credit card info. I update it. For the next 20 minutes of attempting to log in it keeps telling me that I need to update my CC info.

So I miss a good portion of the game thanks to all this. Infuriating even though partly my fault but I'll be honest. I've never held on to the same credit card long enough to have one expire on me.
