The Raleigh police chief said that one student is dead and another is injured after a stabbing at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, around 11 a.m. Monday, a large police presence was at the school while they investigated a serious assault. Police later said that the incident was a stabbing.
Police said once on the scene they found two students who were stabbed in the school's gymnasium. They were transported to a local hospital where one of them succumbed to their injuries.
According to police, a juvenile suspect is currently in custody.
