San Francisco Legend Willie Mays has passed away at 93 years of age. He was the oldest living member of the MLB HOF

I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Was my favorite player when I was nine years old. Still have some baseball cards of Willie.

One of the best ever. A pure joy to watch him play although at that time it was very rarely.

My mother-in-law was born on the same day as Willie and just turned 93 in May.

That's awesome. Would you want to sell one or two of them?

Willie Mays and Hank Aaron are two guys I'm trying to add to my personal collection.

Willie was so great. I saw a video of him making an amazing grab in CF on the run at 50 years old during an old timers game. 50!

RIP Willie.

Let me think on it.
Have a 1958 Hank Aaron with the Milwaukee Brewers.

OMG swoon.

I've been wanting to get a Hank card with the old Milwaukee hat. That 1958 card is one of the coolest.

I was thinking this morning after I heard of Willie Mays passing. Who would you now consider the greatest living baseball player?

Last night after Willie's passing, Steve Stone, announcer for the Cubs was talking about one of the greatest catches he saw Willie make and of course someone tracked down the video and that is also in this story as well as Stone's account. I remember that catch being on the Major League Game of the Week on NBC back in the 60's or maybe early 70's. Every Saturday there would be one game and then one on Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. No where like it is today or has been for the most of the last 30 years.

Barry Bonds, Pete Rose to start.
