So we've been vocal on the Pack Homer Pod that we think Dom Fritton has electric stuff and that it would play well out of the pen. His issue has been hitting the wall in the 3rd or 4th inning it seems.

Thought I'd share this nugget I looked up this morning.

In 2021 we had another electric lefty - Evan Justice.

He started the first 4 games and had a 9.56 ERA - gave up 17 earned in 16 innings. He also had 17 walks in 17 innings.

We moved him to the pen - he gave up 9 runs his next 43.2 innings - 1.87 ERA. Also only 8 walks the next 43.2 innings. He took his elite stuff and went right at guys and became one of the best closers in the country on a magical run. And now is fighting for a spot on a big league roster for the Rockies after making his debut last year.

Not saying that is what will happen with Dom - or that he cant turn it around a as starter - but food for thought.
