On the docket for NC State at ACC's today we've got the following:

10:30 AM - Women's Hammer Throw - Mahkayla Hart, Makala Wright, Sydney Freeman. - Makala Wright could score here on a great day finding her form from last year outdoors, but we aren't favored to score here.

4:00 PM - Women's Javelin Throw - Katie Horne, Jakerra Covington - Katie Horne is favored to score here. Hopeful she can place top 4-5. Jakerra Covington could threaten to score here as well but is not favored to.

6:00 PM - Men's 400m Hurdles Prelims - Xavier Branker- The freshman is favored to make the finals.

6:40 PM - Men's 200M Dash Prelims - Miles Epstein, Kyron Parker - Not expected to make finals

7:20 PM - Men's 1500M Prelims - Ryan Motondo, David Vorbach, Zach Hughes, Miles Ally, Wesley Larson - Anything can happen in tactical championship style races but we aren't favored to advance from any of the heats. I could see Zach Hughes making the finals in the right kind of race

7:45 PM - Women's 1500M Prelims - Nevada Mareno, Grace Hartman, Samantha Bush, Kate Putman, Hannah Gapes - Bush and Hartman should make the finals from their heat. Mareno and Gapes could advance as well but may need to rely on a time qualifier if not at their best

8:10 PM - Men's 10k - Toby Gualter, Dan McGoey, Kevin Antczak, JJ Malach - Gualter and McGoey could be competitive to score here depending on how fast Parker Wolfe wants to make the race. JJ Malach scored last year with a great performance so dont count him out either.

8:50 PM - Women's 10k - Amaris Tyynismaa, Sydney Seymour - A weird event with many that you would have considered favorites running other events, Tyynismaa very well could win this one. She should at least be top 4 IMO

ESPN+ will have coverage at 12:45 for some field events and then will go back live at 6 on the track

On the docket for NC State at ACC's today we've got the following:

3:00 PM - Women's Shot Put - Mahkayla Hart, Ta'Honny Exum - Ta'Honny Exum probably isn't favored to score, but a good throw from her could have right around the conversation to score

6:25 PM - Women's 100H Prelims - Ally Henson - Ally Henson is a favorite to advance to the finals via time

6:30 PM - Women's Long Jump - Jirah Sidberry - Jirah Sidberry is the defending ACC champ but the competition has really leveled up this year. Still a favorite to score and hoping for at least a top 4-5 finish for her

6:40 PM - Mens 400M Prelims - Quentin Clarke - Not expected to make finals but hoping for a good run

7:15 PM - Men's 100M Prelims - Myles Epstein - Not expected to make finals

7:30 PM - Women's 100M Prelims - Jordyn Parker - Not expected to make finals

7:45 PM - Men's 800M Prelims- Miles Ally, Grant Howlett, Zach Hughes - Hughes has a chance at making the finals depending on how fast his heat goes

8:00 PM - Women's 800M Prelims - Kate Putman- Not expected to make finals

8:25 PM - Men's 3K Steeple - Brett Gardner, Joe Jaster, Matt Bogdan - Gardner should be in the mix up front all race, hoping for a top 4 finish from him. Would love for Bogdan to hang around the backend scorers and mix it up, probably not favored to finish there though

8:45 PM - Women's 3k Steeple - Angelina Napoleon, Alyssa Hendrix - Napoleon definitely a favorite to score, how high she can finish is up to her tactical adeptness in a race like this. Hoping for top 4.

ESPN+ will have coverage at 12:45 for some field events and then will go back live at 6 on the track

The men MIGHT score in two events (steeple and 400H). What in the world.

Kyzaiah Stone has a decent chance at scoring in the High Jump, but your point still stands. Last year's 23 points were embarrassing and we are pretty much guaranteed to be lower than that this year. Program needs a reset. If we are trying to be a distance oriented school on the mens side we sure aren't doing it very well. Very likely to only have 1 scorer in the 1500, steeple, 5k and 10k.
