COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Madison Hayes of the NC State women's basketball team has been selected to represent USA Basketball in the final three stops of the FIBA 3x3 U23 Nations League, as announced by the organization on Friday.

Hayes is one of four players who earned a spot on the roster, joining Hailey Van Lith (Louisville), Emily Engstler (Louisville) and Kylee Watson (Oregon). The team will compete in the Europe-America conference of the U23 Nations League from Aug. 2-4 in Voiron, France. The event is set with the intention of helping countries prepare talent for future international competition.

Hayes has an already-rich history with USA Basketball. The Chattanooga, Tenn., native collected a gold medal with Team USA at the 2019 FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup. Hayes secured her selection to the squad after helping her TGB team to the USA 3x3 National Championship title that same year, and she went on to score 21 points over the course of the World Cup event. She also participated in the trials for the 2018 USA U17 World Cup team.

A rising sophomore, Hayes joins the Wolfpack program for the 2021-22 campaign after spending her freshman season at Mississippi State. The guard entered her collegiate career as a 2020 McDonald's All-American and was named to the 2021 SEC All-Freshman Team following her rookie campaign.

Hayes and Team USA begin training camp on July 29 in Pittsburgh before heading to France for sop four (Aug. 2), stop five (Aug. 3) and stop six (Aug. 4) of the U23 Nations League.
