Cunane, Brown-Turner Named Preseason All-ACC; Pack Picked Second

Two members of the NC State women's basketball team earned individual preseason honors from the Atlantic Coast Conference, as junior center Elissa Cunane and sophomore wing Jakia Brown-Turner were named to the Preseason All-ACC Team.

The conference office also released the predicted order of finish for the season, and NC State was selected to finish second in the ACC by both the league's head coaches and the Blue Ribbon Panel. The Wolfpack received two first-place votes and a total of 210 points in a vote of the league's head coaches, while the Blue Ribbon Panel resulted in 10 first-place votes and a total of 797 points for NC State.

In seven seasons at NC State, head coach Wes Moore's teams have exceeded or at least equaled preseason expectations every year. Despite the cancelation of the 2020 NCAA Tournament, the Wolfpack enters the season having competed in three consecutive NCAA Tournaments from 2017 through 2019 and two-straight NCAA Sweet 16s (2018, 2019).

The Pack is coming off of one of its best seasons in its 46-year history during which it capped off the year by winning the 2020 ACC Tournament title for the first time since 1991. Moore led his squad to a 28-4 (14-4 ACC) record and the program record for single-season ACC wins as the team finished second in the league during the regular season.

Louisville was picked to finish first in both polls, receiving 223 points (13 first-place votes) from the league's head coaches and 840 points (45 first-place points) from the Blue Ribbon Panel.
