NC State head coach Kevin Keatts spoke to the Wolfpack radio crew in Atlanta following his team’s, 64-58, road loss at Georgia Tech.

“I don’t think we stuck well together. I don’t think we coached well together. It just was a bad day for us.”

“Our guys, they were a little – I don’t know the word to use – I just didn’t think we stuck together.”

“Well, I just thought ball security wasn’t there. Our gus, obviously, were a little lazy with the basketball. We didn’t do a good job of rotating the ball. I thought we got some great looks against the zone, especially in the first half, which we didn’t make those shots – but that happens. You have got to do a better job in certain situations. I’ve got to do better. I think our team and our coaches have got to do better but I just felt like the team, we wasn’t all here today. That’s a problem. We have got to figure that out and fix it.”

“I thought [Georgia Tech’s trapping zone] was effective but we held the ball too long. We had guys that were in the corner and I thought we passed up some shots that we should have taken. I thought Braxton at the end of the game got a tremendous shot. Obviously, it did not go in, but we had some good things that go right for us. When we needed to be a team, we wasn’t a team.”

“I don’t know.  I am not sure what happened. I know [C.J. Bryce] missed his first two shots then I don’t know exactly what happened. He didn’t appear to be very aggressive or look for his shot in the second half.”

“I thought the looks we had, we passed up some good looks. I thought we missed some guys. I thought that we could have made a couple of better decisions down the stretch. I thought our defense was solid but we gave up two or three stickbacks aand those were toughness plays. Those are the plays that we have got to have to win a possession game on the road in the ACC.”

“I thought [Markell Johnson] was good. I thought he was aggressive. he did some really good things for us.”

“Well, [Beverly] made some good decisions. he made some good plays. We have got to get better and we have got to learn for this, as a staff and as players. I just didn’t think we were locked in.”
