Several members of the Inside Pack Sports staff predict the winner of the NC State-Louisville matchup.

For some reason I feel like NC State is due, and this is a good spot for the Pack with Louisville playing back-to-back road games and the Pack back home for a second straight game.

Look for State to lean on the ground game and find a way to get the win.

Louisville has shown the ability to score off big plays from virtually anywhere on the field. NC State hasn't shown the ability to consistently score from anywhere. Wolfpack fans have to hope that State bucks the trend this weekend, but to this point, we've not seen anything to suggest that's going to happen.

State is still young, they're still hurt, and now you may be able to add a Clemson hangover to the list.  I think State shows a little more on offense than we've seen the last few weeks but not enough to win the day.

This is a pivotal game for the Wolfpack. The next three contests are winnable for NC State, and they need two of them to be bowl eligible.

It’ll be interesting to see if NC State’s defense will play. Louisville lit up Wake Forest and will be schematically familiar with the Pack due to Dwayne Ledford’s experience on Dave Doeren’s staff.

Ultimately, we will learn a lot about NC State’s mental makeup. If the Pack treats this game like it is taking a type of final stand, then victory is possible.

Louisville allows points, so NC State’s struggling offense has a shot.

Ethan Barry (IPS Intern)

I think State plays much better this week and gives hope for the last two weeks. However, I think Louisville is a horrible matchup for the Pack, and I think their speed on offense will be too much for the Pack to handle.

The other thing that scares me is the track record of teams coming off of playing Clemson, which State is fighting against this week, and obviously State is pretty thin and banged up. I think those two things are the difference in the game.
