NC State Head Coach Wes Moore
“I’m proud of the first half effort... the second half probably wasn’t quite as clean. I tried to explain to not be concerned too much with the scoreboard but keep getting better and improving.”
“It was a good day, I appreciate it from Boo and NC State administration and everyone for making that special ceremony after the game.”
“In 30 years I haven’t grabbed a rebound or made a bucket.”
“I love it. Of course I don’t want Elissa hanging out there too much because at 6’5 I’d like to utilize her on the block... she shot the three really well today and she’d love to be a point guard in her dreams. That’s the one little concession I can make is to let her shoot some three’s.”
“We knew we were getting a great player with Jakia in the recruiting process. The first McDonald’s All-American we’ve had here at State in a while.”
“We hope Grace Hunter will continue to progress.”
“Hopefully we can get all them back at some point and then I have to figure out how to juggle them all, but that’s a good problem to have.”
“I wasn’t a great student in high school. I couldn’t have got into NC State, I can guarantee you that.”
