RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State has signed head football coach Dave Doeren to a new five-year contract through Dec. 31, 2023, the school announced today.

Doeren's new agreement was negotiated last November immediately following the Wolfpack's 9-3 campaign and was recently approved by the NC State Board of Trustees and UNC System Office in accordance with applicable personnel guidelines. Doeren's annual compensation increases from $3 million to $3.25 million as part of the new contract.

"I'm grateful for the commitment and support NC State has provided to my family and I," said Doeren. "This University and community are home to us, we're excited with what we're building with NC State football and I look forward to continuing to lead this program."

Doeren's teams have earned five consecutive bowl appearances (2014-2018) and recorded back-to-back 9-win seasons (2017 and 2018). NC State's 11 league wins over the last two seasons rank second among ACC institutions.

Doeren and his staff continue to make significant strides on the recruiting trail, while developing and maximizing talent. NC State's 2019 recruiting class is ranked among the Top 25 nationally and the Wolfpack ranked second among all college football programs with seven players selected in the 2018 NFL Draft. Six players were invited to the NFL Combine this winter in advance of the 2019 NFL Draft.

The 2019 season will mark Doeren's seventh season leading the Wolfpack.  NC State will host its annual Kay Yow Spring Football Game on Sat., April 6 at 1pm at Carter-Finley Stadium.
