You probably know DJ Funderburk as well as anybody on the team. How have you seen kind of grow as a person, as a player?
You see how well he’s playing right now.

He's coming in putting work in everyday.  He’s played extremely hard, and it pays off for us as well.

Coach said he’s not focused on the fact that you guys are playing an opponent who is 0-3 in he ACC.  Talk about you guys taking each opponent seriously.
Honestly, I actually didn't even know they were 0-3.

There is so much talent in this league.  You can't look at their record.  We went up to Pitt last year and they were 0-7 or 0-8 and they played us down to the wire.

You can’t overlook any opponent in this league.  Every team has talent from top to bottom so you have to treat each opponent the same.

Coach said Markell might not play. Does that change what your role is?
I guess it changes because we don’t have another guy who played at Wake last year.  The only players who did are me, Markell, and Torin so it’s an ACC atmosphere the other guys are still getting used to.

That will take a lot of leadership and talent away from us if he doesn’t play. Hopefully he does.

What does Markell Johnson bring to the table?
He brings leadership. He brings a lot of talent. You see the way he’s been playing. I think he's one of the best point guards in the country, and he’s definitely been showing that.

If he doesn’t play, we’ll miss all that of course, but everyone else on the team has to be ready to step up.

Coach said Wyatt Walker was very apologetic in the locker room after the game.  What does that say about his character that he thinks about the team?
He's a great guy. He's one of the nicest people I've ever talked to.

His emotions got the best of him and it can happen to anybody, but he’s one of the nicest people you’ll ever talk to.

Thoughts on maybe seeing more zone defense going forward...
I think we learned we have to keep the ball moving. We can’t just let one guy hold the ball and dribble too much.  You can get away with that in a man offense but a zone not too much.  It’s what they want you to do.

We were still pretty successful but not as successful as we can be and that’s what we’re preparing for in practice.
