Torin Dorn

On different lineups...
“It was cool and it was something new. Anytime you’re playing a game like that and your team is deep enough to be able to play 10 guys, it’s definitely a good thing.”

On his first two games...
“I’m playing in the moment. I’m playing free and hard and my teammates are doing a great job of finding me in spots where I can score the ball. We’ve got a lot of guys that can score and that makes it a lot easier on me.”

On Braxton Beverly...
“It does a lot for us. He stretches the floor and he’s a knockdown shooter. It adds another piece of depth to us and another piece of experience. He’s been in the ACC for a year so it’s very good for us and he’s a big piece of our team that we got back today.”

Jericole Hellems

On the interchangeable offense...
“Coach Keatts focuses on transition and being fast-paced. He wants everyone to be involved in the game. It’s easier to have that when everyone is sharing the ball and playing well with each other.”

On the defense...
“We did a great job. That was our emphasis today: coming out on the defensive end, shutting them down, and focusing on our assignments.”

On the team...
“We need to continue to focus on defense and not the offensive end because we all know that everyone on the team can score. Coach Keatts tells us everyday to focus on the defensive end and the offense will take care of itself.”

On the offense...
“It feels good to play with a team that you feel comfortable knowing your guy is going to make the next pass. If he doesn’t, then you pat him on the back and get back on the defensive end. Everyone is uplifting right now and I know we’re going to do well going forward.”

Braxton Beverly

On his return...
They allowed me to start back at practice and go full-contact Thursday. I had been shooting, dribbling, and doing other non-contact stuff in practice for about a week or so.

On his quick return...
All that credit goes to our trainer. We were in the training room non-stop. Anytime I wanted to get in the work or strength training, he was the one to do it.

On being back...
It felt great. The first few minutes my legs were not under me yet. I was really excited to get back so that took a little toll on it. Other than that, I feel great.

On his injury...
I was just going for a steal and ran into Torin Dorn’s elbow. It was just kind of a freak accident. I don't really know how it happened. It was weird.

DJ Funderburk

On settling in...
I feel like had to adjust my first or second week of practice. From there, I just worked on my conditioning.

On Braxton Beverly...
It does a lot. You saw he came out and had five threes. He’s a big energy booster and we’re just glad to have him back. We missed those threes.

On the defense...
I think it was just scouting. Coming out, Keatts told us you have to come ready to play for noon games.  The team that comes out ready to play usually wins.

On Torin Dorn...
He tries to lead the whole team as far as being the coach on the floor. Off the court he's just a great guy. We all gel and work together.

On his three-point attempt...
It’s routine. I practice it a lot. When they come to me I take them.
