LOCKER ROOM REPORT: Wolfpack Players
Several NC State players met with the media after the Wolfpack's 47-28 win over Florida State.
Freshman Tailback Ricky Person
"First of all, I want to start by saying I have got the best training staff in the country. If it wasn't for them I probably wouldn't be out there today."
"Me and Reggie are always competing against each other. We push each other each and every day. It just so happened that it was the opposite way around this time."
"I had the same mindset. I always have the same mindset."
"It was just another game. You have got to be focused."
"My offensive line, we were paying attention to their blitzing...we did a good job with that today."
Junior Wide Receiver Jakobi Meyers
"I just wanted to help get the team back on track. I feel like I wasn't contributing like I know I could. I just wanted to get more involved and make more plays so I could help us move forward."
"That's tough. I guess the teams we played had a really good gameplan as far as trying to take me out of the game. They kind of sat on a lot of routes. I think they did a really good job. I think Florida State had a good gameplan too, but I wouldn't let them. Not in this game. I had a mission."
"They left their safeties in a lot of one-on-one situations. They didn't really help them a lot. If you can beat the safeties, it's green grass."
"When we're healthy, I think we can play with anybody. We learned the hard way, but hopefully we can keep guys healthy and continue to work hard and play hard."
Senior Tailback Reggie Gallaspy II
"It helped a lot. We got out early with the run game. Sometimes we get out a little slow to start the run game but this game we got everything moving."
"It was exciting. He finally gets his first three touchdowns, two rushing and one receiving, I am just proud of him. The grind and grit he has, you don't get a lot of freshmen like him."
"I was feeling pretty good. I felt hungry. We wanted to win and also defend our home turf."
"There was a lot on the line for this game."
Junior Defensive Tackle Larrell Murchison
"Yeah, I think I had it the whole way. It surprised me, so I think I had it the whole way."
"I was just executing my job, selling the rest, and falling back where I had to, where I was appointed to fall back on. It just came right to me. We'd been practicing that play the whole week. On the weak zone before, we'd been practicing, trying to get the technique better. I tried my best to work it in, and it worked out for me. I was just doing my job."
"We're back home after being on a road trip two weeks straight. Being back home was great. The fans give us great energy. It allowed us to be even better and have more fun."
Senior Center Garrett Bradbury
"It was a lot of fun. I felt like we got back on track after dropping two in the past two weeks. I thought offensively we were kind of in a rhythm the whole game."
"Obviously, we would like to finish some more drives in the end zone but having Chris make all of those field goals was huge for us."
"It makes everything a lot more fun, to be honest, as an offensive lineman when you can just, at will, just drive down the field and run the ball and they know it is coming most of the time. It is just a good feeling. Obviously, it helps the passing game out a ton."
"It is good when you can be that balanced as an offense."
We all take it a little personally. We felt like Ryan got hit a little too much last week. They have got some good players. Their interior guys are big, strong dudes. So obviously, we heard about that all week from coaches, from media, from everyone."
