RELEASE: NC State To Play In Two Basketball Hall of Fame Events

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today that the NC State men’s basketball team will play in two of its events in the 2018-19 season.

The Pack will play in the HoopHall Miami Invitational on Saturday., Dec. 1 against Vanderbilt and will play in the Boardwalk Classic in Atlantic City on Saturday., Dec. 15 versus Penn State.

The HoopHall Miami Invitational is now in its fourth year and will be a one-day, quadruple-header at AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami. ESPN has partnered to televise the event, with game times and tune-in information to be released at a later date. Tickets for the 2018 Hoophall Miami Invitational will go on-sale to the general public on Monday, June 11 at 10:00 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster.com or by contacting the AmericanAirlines Arena box office.


The meeting against Vanderbilt will be the fifth all-time between the two programs. NC State trails the all-time series, 3-1. The last meeting between the teams took place on Nov., 19, 2011 in the Legends Classic and was won by the Commodores, 86-79.

 

The Pack will meet Penn State on Dec. 15 in the augural Boardwalk Classic held at the historic Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City in another one-day, quadruple-header put on by the Basketball Hall of Fame. Television coverage, game time and ticket information for the Boardwalk Classic will be released at a later date.

NC State defeated the Nittany Lions, 85-78, last season in Raleigh and leads the all-time series with Penn State, 17-3. 
 
Additional opponents and dates for the 2018-19 season will be announced at a later date.
