Way to go, Pack!

The 15th-ranked NC State rifle team concluded the fall portion of its dual match slate with a score of 4638 against the top-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers Saturday afternoon inside the WVU Shell Building.

The Mountaineers fired a team score of 4690 thanks to a 2328 in smallbore and a 2362 in air rifle. The Wolfpack charted a 2295 in smallbore and a 2343 in air rifle to log its aggregate score of 4638.

NC State moves to 3-4 on the year and 2-4 in Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) matches, while West Virginia remains unbeaten with a 10-0 overall record and a 5-0 ledger in conference action.

Smallbore Notes
- Will Marciniak led the Wolfpack in the smallbore event with a score of 576 to finish sixth among the individual standings.
- Claire Spina finished right behind him with a 575 and Kendra Jacobs notched a score of 574.
- Claire Zanti fired a 570 with a 99 on her first series in prone, while freshman Emily Fisher tallied NC State's lone perfect series in smallbore with a flawless first prone series.
- Aron Tinter logged a mark of 551 and Zach Eisenberg, Tyler Lefbvre each registered a 544.

Air Rifle Notes
- Fisher and Jacobs each achieved a score of 587 with Fisher tallying two series of 99 and Jacobs putting together three.
- Headlined by a perfect second series, Spina fired a score of 585.
- Zanti earned a 584 and Tinter rounded out the Wolfpack's counting shooters with a 582.
- Marciniak and Lefebvre also saw action in air rifle, logging scores of 578 and 573, respectively.
- Eisenberg notched a score of 567.

Aggregate Notes
- Jacobs led the Pack in the aggregate with an 1161 and Spina was closely behind with an 1160.

NC State has concluded the dual portion of the fall slate and will return to action at the Winter Airgun Championships held December 1-2 in Colorado Springs. The Wolfpack's next dual match is against Navy in Lincoln, Neb., on January 19.

Six members of the NC State rifle team will travel to Colorado Springs, Colo., this weekend to participate in the USA Shooting Winter Airgun Championships held at the Olympic Shooting Center.

The event serves as the selection matches for the upcoming International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup next year in New Delhi, India, as well as part of the selection process for the World Cups later in the year in Munich, Germany and Beijing, China.

Senior Claire Spina, juniors Zach Eisenberg, Kendra Jacobs and Claire Zanti, along with freshmen Emily Fisher and Aron Tinter will represent the Wolfpack at the event.

The 17th-ranked NC State rifle team turned in an aggregate score of 4617 at the NCAA Qualifier Match Saturday afternoon inside the Bill McKenzie Rifle Range on the West Virginia University campus.

The Wolfpack will now await the NCAA Selection Show on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 5 p.m. to learn if any individuals from the team have been selected to the championships. The show will be streamed live on the NCAA.com.

NC State's score will be added to the Pack's ranking average, which is based on the team's top-three scores fired at three different venues, to determine the team's NCAA qualifying mark.

Smallbore Notes
- Freshman Emily Fisher led the way for the Wolfpack in the smallbore competition with a career-best score of 581, highlighted by a perfect second series of prone.
- Will Marciniak notched NC State's next-highest mark with a 572 and also had a perfect second series in the prone position.
- Claire Spina and Claire Zanti each achieved scores of 569.
- Zach Einberg rounded out the lineup with a score of 560, headlined by the Pack's third perfect series.
- Aron Tinter saw action in the event and fired a 563, while Tyler Lefebvre recorded a score of 531.
- As a team, the Wolfpack notched a 2291 in smallbore.

Air Rifle Notes
- Fisher also had a strong day in air rifle, pacing the Pack with a 586. The Fairfax, Va., native fired a 99 on her third series.
- Three different Wolfpack student-athletes earned a score of 580, including Eisenberg, Spina and Zanti.
- Eisenberg recorded a perfect fourth series, while Spina charted a 99 on her fourth and sixth series and Zanti had a 99 on her third series.
- Marciniak shot a 578, Tinter registered a 574 and Lefebvre notched a 570.
- NC State concluded the event with a team score of 2326.

Aggregate Notes
- Fisher headlined the Wolfpack's top individual performances, as her strong day in both guns led to an aggregate total of 1167.
