Nice run by the Pack. The five game winning streak (including 4 top 50 wins) is a great springboard to next season. The pitching looks solid next year. We need more punch up and down the lineup. Having one .300 hitter, four .200 hitters, and 4 .100 hitters is a recipe for some slumps. (VT had three .400 hitters, four .300 hitters, and two .200 hitters for reference from the best hitting team in the league).

I think the #HomeRunMindset can work, but we need to improve, and infuse some new talent as well.

Still, glad to see us with our first winning season since we went to the Super Regional in 2015. That definitely has us moving in the right direction. We seem to have climbed over Pitt and BC this year. Now we just need to start climbing back over some of the other ACC teams that had passed us. If we play like we did down the stretch against Duke, Louisville, and the ACC tournament, we could get back into the NCAA tournament as early as next season.

Sounds like we have some reason for optimism moving forward. Hopefully our staff can recruit the pieces we need to reach the top of our league.
