The NC State men's and women's cross country teams have been named All-Academic Teams for the 2022 season by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), as announced by the organization on Thursday.

To receive All-Academic Team honors, a squad must hold at least a 3.0 team GPA on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period. NC State was also named the National Scholar Team of the Year. Sophomore Katelyn Tuohy was named the National Scholar Athlete of the Year.

The Wolfpack women's team maintained a 3.68 GPA, the men maintained a 3.15.

Five individuals on the women's team and one on the men's team earned individual All-Academic status. To garner an individual honor, a student-athlete must have a GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have qualified for a national championship meet or finished in the top five of his or her respective conference championship.

Tuohy, Kelsey Chmiel, Gionna Quarzo, Brooke Rauber, Sydney Seymour and Brett Gardner were named All-Academic Athletes.

It's the fourth All-Academic nod for Chmiel, the senior from Saratoga Springs, NY. It was the third time Tuohy was an USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete.
