Three NC State Swimming and Diving seniors were recognized by the ACC league office Tuesday for their weekend performances in the dual meet versus Tennessee. Katharine Berkoff was honored as the ACC Women's Swimmer of the Week, Kacper Stokowski the ACC Men's Swimmer of the Week, and Helene Synnott the ACC Women's Diver of the Week.

ACC Women's Swimmer of the Week
The current American Record holder in the 100-yard backstroke, Katharine Berkoff is honored with the ACC Women's Swimmer of the Week award for the third time of her career. The recognition comes after several impressive swims in Knoxville, Tenn. over the weekend in the squad's dual against Tennessee. Berkoff posted the second-fastest time in the nation in the 100-yard backstroke (52.45) to claim the victory in the event, as well as going 49.35 to claim the top spot in the 100-yard freestyle, her time standing at No. 6 in the national rankings. The Missoula, Mont. native also contributed to the Wolfpack women relay efforts, posting a 22.97 leadoff leg in the 200-yard freestyle relay, a 24.48 50-yard backstroke split for the 200-yard medley relay, and bringing home the 400-yard freestyle relay with her anchor split time of 50.29 seconds.

ACC Men's Swimmer of the Week
Though Kacper Stokowski is the reigning National Champion in the 100-yard backstroke, the ACC Men's Swimmer of the Week status marks the first of his career. Over the weekend, Stokowski posted the nation's top time in the 100-yard backstroke, where his winning time of 46.13 seconds secured the dual meet win by over a second. In the 200-yard backstroke, the Wolfpack senior went 1:44.53, ranking ninth in the nation. He also put forth a 21.57 leadoff backstroke leg in the 200-yard medley relay, and anchored the 200 (19.63) and 400-yard (43.49) freestyle relays.

ACC Women's Diver of the Week
Marking the first ACC Women's Diver of the Week honor of her career, Wolfpack senior Helene Synnott is also the first on the team to earn the status since Madeline Kline (c/o 2020) last earned the same award in January of 2019. The recognition comes after Synnott's performance on the 1-meter and 3-meter baords in last weekend's dual against the Volunteers. Her final score of 284.03 points on the 1-meter board marked the first collegiate win of her career, and marks as a NCAA Zone cut. In the women's 3-meter event, the diver finished 5th (285.98) with another NCAA Zone cut.
