Wolfpack junior Kylee Alons was named ACC Women's Swimmer of the Week on Monday following a perfect weekend of action in the pool.

A 13-time All-American and four-time ACC champion at NC State, Alons garnered the weekly honors for the third time in her career. She was named ACC Women's Swimmer of the Week back-to-back times during her freshman campaign in 2018-19.

In what was a double-meet weekend for the NC State swimming and diving squads, Alons claimed first place in all five individual events that she competed in and led the fourth-ranked Wolfpack women to team wins against No. 18 North Carolina and No. 16 Duke.

The Fort Collins, Colo., native put together an impressive triple against the Tar Heels with first-place finishes in the 50-yard freestyle (22.62), 100-yard freestyle (48.94) and 100-yard butterfly (52.66). Alons already owned the fastest times of the season for the Pack in those events, and her butterfly mark was just .02 seconds off of the pool record for the Casey Aquatic Center.

At that meet, she also swam the anchor leg of the Pack's winning 200-yard medley relay squad. Her 22.01 closing split finished out NC State's first-place time of 1:37.96 in that event.

She then added a pair of event victories against the Blue Devils, taking top honors in her first 200-yard freestyle and 200-yard backstroke races of the season. Alons' 1:47.76 winning time in the 200-yard freestyle was just short of an NCAA provisional cut, and she secured the B cut in the 200-yard backstroke with a mark of 1:55.59.

Alons and the rest of the NC State squad will return to the pool on Saturday, Jan. 23 to host a pair of top-10 clashes with ACC foe Virginia.
