A program-record three student-athletes from the NC State women's golf team were named All-American Scholars for the 2019-20 season by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), as rising senior Monika Hartl and sophomores Natalie Armbruester and Inja Fric earned the distinction.

For Hartl, this is her second mention from the association in as many years, while for Armbruester and Fric it is the first academic honor of their careers. The program has had at least one player earn the prestigious honor in nine out of the last 10 years.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. Players must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and have competed in at least 50 percent of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.

Hartl competed in all seven tournaments before the COVID-19 pandemic cut the season short, and she led the Wolfpack with a 72.66 stroke average along with four top 20 finishes. Her scoring average from the 2019-20 season, as well as her career stroke average of 74.37, currently rank third all-time at NC State.

At the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in February she earned a career-best runner-up finish by firing a career-low 67 in the final round, which ties for the second-lowest 18-hole score in program history.

Armbruester played in six of the team's seven tournaments, the most among all freshmen, and turned in a 75.72 stroke average. She fired a career-low 72 on five separate occasions, and 14 of the 18 rounds she competed in counted towards the team's tournament total.

Fric played in five tournaments during her first season with the Pack and compiled a 74.40 stroke average. Her career-low round of 70 (-2) came in the third collegiate tournament of her career, the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational, and 14 of the 15 rounds she played counted towards the team's tournament total.
