We deserve a shot at Iowa for the title.

State guys came up HUGE in key spots, especially Hwt Wilson, big, big win at 125 and the monster pin at 133 (sorry I don't know all the names), then T Wilson showing the heart of a champion.

Well done Pack.

Looking at seeding for the ACC tournament - the goal is to advance to the finals, if at all possible for team points
125 - Camacho should be #2 behind Mueller #1 from UVa
133 - Trombley should be #2/#3 behind Phillip #1 from Pitt
141 - Top 3 seeds have all beaten each other and should finish with the same 4-1 record.... who gets top seed?
149 - Leitten should be #3 behind O'Connor #1 from UNC and Andonian #2 from VT
157 - Hidlay is #1
165 - T. Bullard should be #2 behind Monday #1 from UNC... they did not wrestle each other during duals
174 - D. Bullard should finish #2 behind Harvey #1 from Pitt
184 - Hidlay should be #2 behind Bolen #1 from VT
197 - No clue who will represent NC State, but likely #4/#5 seed and would have to meet Aiello #1 in the semis
HWT - Wilson should be #2 behind Thomas #1 from Pitt

Though we only have one clear top seeded weight, we should still be strong for team points being that only one weight has the likelihood of facing a top seed in the semis.

I'm not completely sure on this, but I think the 141 seeding would go by RPI rankings. At 197, I assume it will be Reenan, even with how poor he's been wrestling since his injury.

Our best shot at ACC titles would be 141 if Tariq the Freak shows up, 157 obviously, 165 (like you said Thomas didnt wrestle Monday), and Daniel (he seemed gassed in that Pitt match and barely lost).

For @PackWrestle, it is coming off of three top-10 wins in a row, against Pitt, North Carolina and Virginia Tech, respectively. The last two were very crucial, as the scores came down to the final matches.

Rumor on the ASU message boards is he tested positive for cocaine.... if he doesn't weigh in for the PAC12 tournament in 2 weeks, no NCAAs. Hidlay's got to overcome Bolen at some point to win a championship.

State could get a shutout tonight, but we've seen Pop rest starters in matches like this in the past- even against ACC teams.

I think at least half of our lineup will be backups tonight. It will be a good chance to get those guys a match and reward them for all the hard work they put in all year. I still think we have a great chance at a shutout even with the backups going. They are competitive at 174 but the rest of their lineup is struggling this year.

Yeah we've seen this out of Pop in the past. But there's a few guys who could really use a win to get some momentum and improve ACC seeding- mainly Reenan, but now I'm thinking we might have shut him down.

Apparently Reenan had another knee surgery last week. I think he's done for the year

On the broadcast tonight they said it was a recreational drug so that goes along with this.

The third-ranked NC State wrestling team concluded an undefeated dual season with a 34-9 win at Duke Friday night. The Wolfpack (15-0, 5-0 ACC) won seven of the 10 matches, including six for bonus points.

With the win, NC State finishes a perfect 5-0 in ACC action and wins the ACC regular-season title for the third straight season. It's the first time NC State has won three in a row since 2000-02.

The Pack also finished the season a perfect 15-0 in duals, the first undefeated season in school history (the program started in 1925).

The win was NC State's 27th consecutive dual win at Duke, dating back to 1967.

The dual started at 125 pounds, and Duke forfeited that weight along with 141 pounds to spot the Pack 12 team points.

The first bout was at 133 pounds, with R-Fr. Jarrett Trombley using a four-point near fall in both the second and the third periods and scored a 17-4 major decision.

A.J. Leitten used a 10-point first period and scored a 14-0 major decision at 149 pounds.

#2 Hayden Hidlay made quick work of the 157-pound bout, as he scored a takedown just 10 seconds in and turned into into a pin at the 1:32 mark.

At the halfway point, NC State was up 26-0.

Duke got on the board with back-to-back decisions at 165 and 174 pounds, to pull the score to 26-6 with three bouts left.

More bonus for the Pack at 184 pounds, as #3 Trent Hidlay used a 10-point first period and a four-point near fall ended his 17-2 tech fall win.

A Blue Devil decision at 197 pounds, was followed by So. Deonte Wilson claiming an 8-1 decision to close out the win.

Up Next
The defending ACC champions, the Wolfpack will be back in action March 8 at the 2020 ACC Championship which will be held in Pittsburgh, Pa.

141: #11 Tariq Wilson (NCSU) forfeit 16-0
149: A.J. Leitten (NCSU) major dec. Wade Unger; 14-0 20-0
157: #2 Hayden Hidlay (NCSU) WBF Eric Carter; 1:32 26-0
165: Ben Anderson (DU) dec. Matt Fields; 7-1 26-3

141 - looks like seeding will come down to a coaches vote
184 - Nino B beats Bolen in OT in last nights dual. This throws the seeding up in the air now for both the ACC and NCAA tournaments.
197 - NC State wrestler likely a #6 seed. Quite disappointing as I thought Reenan would be strong for us this year.
