The left carried out a targeted political hit job today by "leaking" SCOTUS documents on Roe v Wade. The dangerous precedent this sets really can't be overstated. Trying to coerce or bully our Supreme Court justices to bow to your ideology is not the path this country needs to go down. The person who leaked it should be found, interrogated to find out who's really responsible and thrown in a jail for life.

Trending on social media now....

Are the Marxist Left being "bigoted" by saying that only women can get pregnant, and therefore have this "right" to murder their unborn child?

I thought the science was now settled that men (and the other 70+ genders) could also get pregnant.

God forbid the "new Covid variant" hits before the mid-terms. This country will be the liberal cesspool that so many have wanted on the left for decades. It will definitely happen the first opportunity the loony lefties get.

I hate to say it but if the GOP gets the power in 2024 they damn well better strike first. The left, by hook or crook, mainly by crook, will do anything and everything to ascend this country to single party rule, abolish the Constitution and enact the laws that exist in lovely California.

I have a hard time understanding how anyone with an ounce of damn common God-given sense can support a party such as this.

What could be more wicked and abominable than murdering an unborn child in the womb - literally chopping it up inside the womb and vacuuming the body parts out?

This one issue alone tells you all you need to know about the Marxist Left. Their ideology is pure evil, and anyone espousing or promoting abortion and the rest of the Leftist ideology has not one ounce of credibility on any issue whatsoever. And how some people can't see that is beyond me. Either they are spiritually blind, or they are wicked themselves and therefore knowingly embrace such an evil movement/agenda.

And to justify this atrocity (genocide of millions of children), they then come up with a multitude of lies to "justify" the massive crime -- eg, "an unborn child is not a human being, but just a lump of cells", etc.

This is the same pattern with virtually every major piece of the ideology of the Marxist Left -- an inherently wicked policy justified by bold-faced lies that on the surface appear to make the corrupt policy "excusable". Look for the same pattern with the "climate change" fraud, "critical race theory", the pro homosexual and transgender agendas, socialist "wealth redistribution", etc.

Makes you wonder just what the hell people are thinking by promoting and campaigning for people that envision a country like that doesn't it?

Lol.
All the modernized countries in the world, and the US is going to be the one to do a civil war.

Correct. Overturning Roe vs Wade doesnt outlaw abortions, it passes the buck back to the States. Also, please note, there hasnt even been an official opinion rendered yet. Its possible this large freakout could be for nothing whatsoever.

That's kind of my point. First, it would be a while before an overturn would actually happen. Second, starts could still allow it if they want. This is nothing more than a pre mid term PR grenade against the GOP. But, let's all lose our minds and go bat**** crazy!

Hokie, as a four horseman (I think), we definitely have a massive divide in this country. If that ultimately leads to a civil war, then it is what it is.

I think you should consider this: conservatives have been consistent regarding abortion; however, radicals (yes, I think that's who they are) have moved the goal post. Initially, they wanted access to abortion, now, they want unfettered access to abortion, at any time in the pregnancy, including immediately at time of birth.

Regarding, the potential ruling, by the Supreme Court…. If anyone believes in our founding and it's original documents, including the Constitution, if this comes out out similar to what's in the draft, then it's 100% constitutionally based. We have numerate powers in the constitution and we have this thing called the tenth amendment. Unfortunately for some, this ruling will be proper!

Now, if that leads to a civil war, then so be it…. It may be needed, again!

Also, wanted to throw this out there - there is zero chance a civil war happens. Americans (myself included) are far too lazy to ever let it happen. While there is currently a ton of screaming/teeth gnashing, its still the outer fringes of both parties doing all the screaming.

Correct. Only complete morons talk about civil war. Our country is built on debate, protests, and free elections that lead to back-and-forth progress (or regression, depending on your perspective) in legislation.

Of course, there will be occasional violence, usually, to your point, from a group that is so narrow-minded, unintelligent, or in some cases hate-filled, that they can't reason. But imagine the level of unintelligence it takes to broach something like a civil war. In the 2020s.

The great American patriot Benjamin Franklin was asked, upon his emergence from the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia in 1787, what form of government the United States was going to have. Franklin answered succinctly, "A Republic, if you can keep it."

Franklin knew that keeping the new nation a republic would be difficult, because he understood the enemies it faced, and the horrors those enemies were willing to unleash to stop the United States from succeeding in the mission upon which it had embarked. Our enemies, the oligarchical families of the Anglo-Dutch Liberal system, responded as Franklin knew they would, but, despite everything they threw at us, we survived, and thrived, becoming the most productive nation the world had ever known. In our darkest moments, great leaders emerged to rally the population and lead the nation forward: George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt, and others, such as Alexander Hamilton, who designed the credit system which lay at the heart of our success.

Outside of the obvious issue here of a leak from the Supreme Court the largest issue here is that people are incapable of any critical thinking at all. In this case all the court decision does is remove the federal government from the equation and make abortion a state level issue, which it should of always been.

Folks are all stirred up but for the most part nothing is going to really change outside a few states in terms of getting an abortion if you want one. If your state doesn't offer the option for an abortion anymore then California will pay for you to fly out there and get one free of charge (Newsome talked about allocating money in the CA budget for this yesterday). Conversely you could always elect state representatives that will codify the right to an abortion in your state for you.

The other issue here is that politicians, and by extension the media push that its an all or nothing thing and that just isn't true. You'll still be able to get an abortion up to a certain point in your pregnancy if you choose, which is as it should be. You shouldn't be able to go an after-birth abortion (something that elected officials in CA, VA, and IL have all said that they support).

I think realistically if you asked people most would be ok with an abortion in the first trimester, less than half would be ok with an abortion in the second, and then almost no one except your extremists would support a third trimester (or after birth) abortion.

As far as all the fun political stuff for the purposes of this post I identify as a woman (even though i'm not a biologist), so my opinion matters on this subject.

Hamilton is the original that I have the most issue with…. His banking prowess lead to the first nationalized bank in the US. We tried the national bank thing a second time and it dissolved. Then, we got what we have today… the federal reserve.

So why is your name "cowboy"?

Seriously....your comment about politicians and media pushing the "all or nothing" angle is spot on. Clearly, its an emotional topic, so people will tend to believe you more as you appeal to emotion, regardless of fact.
Second, it creates a lot more consternation if you can make your followers believe something is 100% being taken away from them as opposed to "we're just going to move the decisioning to your state"

I am Pro-Life! I think we should do everything possible to save a life. If a women is pregnant and the possibility of losing her life, from disease, then do everything you can to save the woman's life and the babies life. If we lose the baby, then that's extremely unfortunate; however, we tried!

That said, this media frenzy is purposeful; however, I'm not sure it's going to work out like the Dems (potentially) want. The people are not on their side with this! Most states have some level of abortion rights. Some have unfettered. Polling suggest an even split on abortion at all. It starts to really change once we get into second and third trimesters.
