You're kidding me! Biden is taking this *****? It literally took it's mother out of a nursing home before bombarding them with COVID patients. It knew exactly what it was doing just like the idiots in NY. It should be in jail... not anywhere near secretary of HHS.
I thought the sick part was that he/she .... Cons: Levine shipped covid-positive patients back into nursing homes, and removed mom from a nursing home at the same time. Then I checked on it. - Looks like a smart family decision for mom.....for any family. --
The 95-year-old mother of Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine moved out of a personal care home after cases of COVID-19 were reported there, Dr. Levine and the Department of Health confirmed.
Dr. Levine was questioned about the move at her daily news conference on Tuesday. She noted that personal care homes are under the jurisdiction of the Department of Human Services, not under her oversight at the Department of Health.
"My mother requested, and my sister and I as her children complied, to move her to another location during the COVID-19 outbreak," Dr. Levine said. "My mother is 95 years old, she is very intelligent, and more than competent to make her own decisions."
Though additional questions submitted to Dr. Levine Friday were not asked at that day's news conference, in a phone call afterwards the department spokesperson April Hutcheson said that the move was a "very personal decision" made by Dr. Levine's mother, not Dr. Levine.
"Her mother weighed her options, and that was the decision she came to," Ms. Hutcheson said, adding "this is one woman's personal decision."
She said that the action does not reflect any sort of recommendation or policy on the part of the Department of Health, and that their role with respect to nursing homes, not personal care homes is to ensure that the administrators of nursing homes follow infection control procedures, have the supplies and other support needed, and keep residents safe.

Ms. Hutcheson would not confirm the personal care home in question, where Dr. Levine's mother was moved, or whether she had been tested for COVID-19 before leaving the facility. Releasing any of the three details, she said, would be a violation of medical privacy laws.

No, the sickest part was that one would hire an assistant Health and Human Services person that "is accused of killing nursing home patients by placing Covid positive people within nursing homes and at the same time removing her mother from the nursing home." Neither happened according to the linked May 15 article from the Pittsburgh Post.
His/her job did not have that responsibility. That home had positive covid-19 cases and mom asked her daughter and son/daughter to move her out and they did. That's what I'd done for my mom or dad!!!!! How about you????

The linked article from May 2020 said he/she did not do that and it told what he/she and the sister did. I've seen no where where Covid-19 patients were sent to the home and I did see that would not be under Levine's job anyway. The home had Covid-19 patients and he/she and his/her sister got their mom out. My mom had brain cancer, just like Senator McCain. We could have let her die within 3 weeks or give her an operation and she'd last another year and we did just that. The famous Duke brain surgeon did not suggest it for an 85 year old lady but my mom could out work most 30 year old ladies just months before! She was tough! After the hospital we had her sent to a 5***** star place in Raleigh where she was pretty much curled up for 3 weeks. She was going downhill and we were visiting 4-5 times a week. We took her out of the 1.5 star place (in my opinion, it was living off a 1960's reputation) and sent her to the hospital for 3-4 days and then to a place in Nashville. It was nice but mom still would not eat or get up on her own and do things. We brought her home to home healthcare and she began eating full meals and was walking by herself within 2-3 days. She lived almost exactly another year and it was a good one! She was a champ with chemo and radiation; she always wanted me to take her out to eat after either! She lived to stand up for 3 hours at my dad's wake and myself and my brother were spent; she was not! TOUGH!
Bottom line is she approved sending Covid patients to the nursing homes like all the other socialist governors did to inflate the fatality numbers. They knew what they were doing and it worked. Trump could have mandated them not to do that but he left the states alone to do what their governors' wanted. You know, states rights and all that that the socialists are going to do away with. You can dress it up however you want. You still avoided the facts. Facts are Sleepy Joe isn't hiring the "best available/most qualified." He's hiring a left wing liberal socialist dream team that fills a quota. Next time you or one of your beloved family members has to have a medical procedure why don't you ask for the most socially acceptable surgeon by your beloved liberal agenda rather than the best most qualified surgeon. Practice what you preach.

I'm no fan of current insurance or past insurance! Money is what it is all about. I had Blue Cross/ Blue Shield from a young kid to 50 years old; they loved me! I paid the dues and never used the insurance...not once. When I turned 50.....they wanted a ton of money to keep me with them; a ton! We paid for Dr. Friedman's care and surgery for mom.BBW12OG said:

You think a collection of some of the most accomplished and competent doctors in the country, who are operating under the Hippocratic oath and have spent decades studying and practicing mental health are more concerned with 'woke posturing' than proper patient care?
Doctors that I'm sure run the gamut politically, by the way.
