I think there should be a separate board called the "Popolizio Pit" for threads like this and all other call out threads, venting, bashing, etc. Would be entertaining for sure.
It appears my hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Baseless accusations are the preferred weapon of the left. It's straight out of Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals." I doubt many of you are aware of this, especially our left-leaning brothers and sisters.

Declare someone a racist (or a Russian agent) and place the burden of disproving the accusation on that person. The accusation , propagated by the colluding media, is then placed on repeat 24/7. It doesn't take long for the uninformed public to simply believe what they hear everyone saying.

The accused is forced to defend accusations rather than pursue their goals (economic and security in the case of Trump). Due to the organized resistance, the accused eventually fails.

In the case of Trump, who has very obvious character flaws, and I'd bet would being diagnosed as a narcissist, the media has had an easy job of spinning their tales. They're believable, whether true or not... we've all witnessed him act like a fool.

Trump is a nationalist, not a white-nationalist. We live in a world that had become increasingly socialist and globally integrated. Trump opposes that and so do I. America first. The powers that be will resist by all means available. Think/research for yourselves; context is everything. Don't simply repeat what your preferred news provider says. No matter the source, they're designed to manipulate.

I challenge you, when reading/watching news. Closely pay attention to what is said. Look for qualifiers (likely/possibly/could/suspected)... this isn't news, it's propaganda.

Finally, rise above your emotions. If given the opportunity to visit the White House, go! It's your right and privilege as an American! Be proud! Not of the president, but of your accomplishment! Don't be used as a political pawn, your punishing yourself.

This is a forum. We're all grown adults, for the most part. Why lock the thread? Snowflakes can't handle it? If you don't like the topic you definitely don't have to click on it.

Since the beginning of Trump's presidency the left has tried to discredit his win. When a team chooses to not visit the White House, it's simply another attempt to discredit him as President. Players in the past went to the WH even when they disagreed with a presidents policies. This is all about discrediting Trump. What's funny to me is athletes and movie stars are protesting him now but were quick to run up and meet him before he became President. He was cool then. And where was all this friction when it came out that Obama was close personal friends with the openly racist Jeremiah Wright? That guy calls white people devils and Obama listened to that garbage for 20 years. But that was OK... GTFOOH

I said in the very beginning of this that if the mods felt like it was water cooler move it but i thought maybe a bunch of grown men could keep it basketball, because another site with most teenagers and people in their early 20s were able to for like 300 posts.

we got a page in a half in before people started.

There's very little activity on the basketball board right now. Wonder why so many requests to close this topic? It's funny how the hypersensitive left wants to censor speech when they don't like the truth. Often times in the guise of "concern".

I'm not painting with any brush, I can just count. LOL.

During the World Cup, I read up a fair amount on the roster to see where the girls played college soccer, how long they've been playing, etc. Going by memory there are at least five out gay players on the team including two teammates dating each other.

I said many/mostly because there may be players on the team that are not out.

ETA: Any of y'all that think Megan Rapinoe didn't have the full support of, and/or was actually speaking for, her teammates when she expressed her strong objections to Trump's performance as President are fooling yourselves.

Hahaha, you serious, Clark?

Are you obtuse or just willfully ignorant?

Before he'd ever set foot in office, Trump chose as his VP a virulently anti-gay politician that's opposed equal status for gay marriage, advocated for conversion therapy, voted against non-discrimination in the workplace, supported same-sex marriage bans, and opposed gay and trans service members serving and potentially dying for our country in the military.

The Trump administration has denied protections for trans students in public schools, rolled back protections for trans inmates, argued that workplace civil rights legislation doesn't protect gays from discrimination in the workplace, removed employment discrimination protections in trade agreements, and generally has not been tangibly supportive of LGBTQ rights, despite the tremendous power of their platform and the opportunities for support and protection the office of President provides.

Does that clear things up for you?

Sorry, he called me "Clark."

Honestly, Pence was a very conservative choice meant to appeal to traditional evangelicals. It worked, and it was purely political calculation. Trump was a lifelong democrat and far from conservative, Pence filled a void.

As for the gripe about lgbtqrstuvwxyz.... rights

Our government shouldn't be paying for a delusional person's gender drugs/surgery etc... Chromosomes cannot change, and the absence of treatment results in said person's body reverting to what it actually is. Mentally unstable individuals are a detriment to the military/workplace and shouldn't be the taxpayer's burden.

It's obvious that neither of your are capable of logic (or using the quote function on this forum), so I'll bow out here.

You said you 'don't understand' why gays don't like Trump and I gave you 9 or 10 reasons.

You respond to only one of those 10 reasons - by calling trans people 'delusional' and 'mentally unstable'.

You also evidently think LGBTQ folks should care that Trump chose Pence because he thought it would be politically prudent, as if that should make them feel better when the Trump Administration tramples their civil liberties.

But you're the logical one.

Got it.

Yeah, whatever.

Francis, I'm not trying to flame here, do you honestly believe Donald Trump doesn't lie on a constant basis?

I've been very curious how a well documented fact that he lies or misleads at a record level is not believed or factored in by people who support him (or the office in general regardless of who's there).

List the lies if they are so well documented. List the fibs, no BS from MSNBC, CNN, etc..
I'll go away from politics. I understand the thread title, but there are always a few posters that inject politics with one being a mod.

By some counts, he's lied 12,000 times since taking office. Say 75% of those are Trump just exaggerating and using hyperbole and that's still 3,000 lies.

I don't know how many times he's said that China pays our tariffs. If that isn't a lie it's because he has no idea how a tariff actually works. Consumers (us) pay tariffs. He attributed tons of false statements to his political enemies and given accounts of state meetings that even his staff won't back him up on

Mainstream media does have bias and an agenda. But that doesn't mean the president can say whatever the hell he wants
