Over the last 2-3 years and especially after the election of Trump, sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google, and YouTube have launched a jihad to silence conservatives and others who oppose the Leftist agenda or the Establishment. Facebook and Twitter have banned thousands of Trump fan pages and users simply for supporting Donald Trump. Next, nearly every Big Tech site acted in concert to ban Alex Jones at the same time. Now, they are talking about banning milquetoast anti-Establishment figures such as Jordan Peterson.
The Left are using the ruse of labeling conservative speech as "hate speech" in order to silence conservatives and the right-wing. Several months ago, YouTube enacted a policy to disable the features on many right-wing and "conspiracy theory" videos, labeling it as "hate speech". These videos cannot have comments and do not show "likes" or the view count, and cannot show up in your "suggested videos". This policy is obviously designed to suppress this content without outright banning it. Yet. They will probably outright ban this content in the near future.
YouTube just recently announced that they are changing their search algorithm in order to make "conspiracy theorist" content even harder to find. Google has recently done the same thing and has changed their search algorithm in order to bury right-wing and "conspiracy theorist" websites in their search results. YouTube has also started to ban user comments from many other videos, and may move to eliminate comments entirely.
The golden age of a free internet with access to a wide range of information and open debate on all topics appears to be closing. If the Left gains sufficient political power in the U.S., they will move to enact "hate speech" laws -- making it a crime to speak out and oppose mass immigration, homosexuality, the transgender agenda, and even reject the "climate change" fraud.
