How long do you want to ignore this user?
Planning on take 2 weeks off for Europe this Fall with the Mrs and she badly wants to go to Greece. It's probably the last vacation before kids.

Any of you been?

Corfu rocks. Love Palaiokastritsa. If you are on the Dalmatia side would highly recommend.

Charter a sail boat with a skipper and run up the coastline. Skip Albania and do Montenegro and Croatia (Dubrovnik would probably be as far north as you get.)

How much would that cost? Is sounds like that would be crazy expensive.

What did you really like about it? There is so much to see it's hard to prioritize.

Here is a link. My favorite things are the variety of restaurants and enjoying the locals. The views from the hills around the island are amazing, some covered with olive groves. You can find lots of outdoor cafes along the coast and in the hills. There are a lot of very moderately priced water sports options also. You can find some great stuff online. I'll add in that if you have time in your agenda, look at Split also. It is an absolutely beautiful harbor with some great museums. Diocletian Castle overlookngbthe harbor is neat also.

It's not prohibitively expensive. Keep in mind that you're not traveling to France or Sweden. These countries are not as prosperous as western-Europe and the cost reflects it. Montenegro and Croatia were part of Yugoslavia until the break-up and are still catching-up from their communist-past.

I have not done this trip with a point of origin in Greece. Consider starting it elsewhere and working your way down. Keep in mind that you're saving on hotels, lunches (you'll go to a grocery store and buy lunch and breakfast food) prior to the trip.
