We are losing quite a few college baseball coaches with exceptionally long careers. The guys at Texas, Miami, FSU, and Rice have all retired or will in the next year.

Given his career, tonight may not bother him too much. He's seen a lot over his time, and he knows there's a lot more ball to be played. He'll use it as another teaching moment. Class guy. Hope he enjoys his retirement.

Unfortunately, he played it perfectly. Left his starter out there to take the L and save the pen. With be a dogfight the next two.

True. His teams didn't win 2000 games because of poor coaching decisions. Today and tomorrow will tell a lot about both teams I believe.

I was worried about a sweep this weekend, so we are in a good spot. If the bats remain confident we may get the series. This game will help the confidence even if we do lose our first one this weekend.
