I'd love to see JT swing at the first pitch every now and then. He is straight take on the first pitch and pitchers almost always just grove one for a strike. That at bat he started him with a breaking ball, but still a strike. Good to see the fight from these guys, keep scratching.

Maybe I'm just a grump, but if the pitcher can't find a hat that will stay on his head, he shouldn't be allowed in the game. It's distracting.

Bases loaded no outs to start the bottom of the 8th...Tatum: K, Mensik: K, Brown: fly out.....every single year with Avent, absolutely no situational hitting. How many times today have we had runners on first and second with no outs?

Yep, we have to figure out how to get a big hit. Still alot of season to go but we aren't healthy and its been very disappointing considering what we had coming back.th8s season.

pitching is inconsistent at best

Hitting is just as inconsistent IMHO. Bases load with no outs and leave them all stranded...sad

Staff
State is playing well in zero (0) of the the three phases of the game. Tough to win games with that. Outscored 61-32 in 8 acc games.

If you want to reach for any good news like I do, they've only been outscored 36-23 over the last five, so... baby steps?

At least the three toughest series are about to be behind them and the schedule lightens up significantly

How many dumb plays and errors can this team make? Why are you trying to throw out a guy stealing second when there's a man on third? Of course the throw sails into the outfield. Another 2 out run given up where you helped Louisville out.

Ump squeezing the pitcher so far, and we are again not smart in the field. Prior to this weekend we've been really good in the field, but it's been a bad weekend of mistakes. No room for that against a team this good. Still a lot of game left.

Yep, with all we had returning, just felt like this could be a really good season. Between Covid and injuries, we just haven't gotten anything going. It's still early, but we don't have much margin for error left. Fielding, hitting and Pitching are bad right now. Sad

Worst team I have seen us put in the fiend in last 10yrs. This team was ranked to start season based on last years shortened results. They absolutely suck this year.
